Thank You for Being You

Hi Friends,
I've been a bit swamped lately, but should have a post in the next few days. I've enjoyed reading your posts and leaving comments. I hope my comments haven't been too lengthy. It's my way of showing thoughtful appreciation for you sharing your heart.

There is one thing that's been on my mind that I hope to share in more detail soon and would like your feed back. All you are believers. How do we reach the unbelievers through our blogs? I realize I may have to create a new blog to reach them, but my heart is burning within me for us to do more to reach the lost through this medium. Any ideas?
Chat soon.

  1. Hi Beverly -

On my photo blog www.photosplendorplus.blogspot.com, I have tabs that have content to appeal to some unbelievers.

Most people enjoy looking at photos and while they look at the photos, some will be inclined to read the content of my tabs.

Now I know that you told me that you are not into photo displays so a new blog for you may be the best route. Of course, as the Spirit leads...in whatever is done...

  2. Hi Beverly,

How do we reach the unbelievers through our blogs?

This is a question which I'm sure you'll get plenty of feedback on. There are so many bloggers with varied interests on Blogger alone. I would like to think that writing about things that will interest them would be a method of reaching out. Topics like marriage, relationships, parenting are subjects which many people blog on. Others may focus on politics, humor, health issues, or special needs. Finding what people treasure is how you reach them.

Paul writes, "Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law." (1 Corinthians 9:19-21, New International Version)

    Blessings and peace.

  3. I thought the above comments were great suggestions.

I think some of the topics MTJ mentioned were especially good. General topics that lend themselves to a presentation of Biblical VALUES can be a good entree into a more secular blog world.

Keep us posted on what you're thinking...

    GOD BLESS!

  5. Hi Beverly,

That is a good question. A few unbelievers have visited my blogs. I'm not sure how we can reach unbelievers specifically. However, I'm sure those who visit are getting something out of our blogs. God's word doesn't return void. We must believe that the word we share is penetrating their hearts. I'll have to think more about this so I can give you a better answer. Hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving with your family.

    Blessings,
    Judy

  6. Thank you for your responses. Great ideas. I'll have to see how the Lord wants me to incorporate some of them. The lost are always of concern to me. The holidays may be a good time to do something special that may reach them. I'll keep you updated.

Also, thank you for looking me up Ron. I've been reading your comments on Sandra's blog. I'll visit your blog in the near future.
